Well, it’s been quite a while since I checked in here, I hope you’ve all been behaving yourselves and had a wonderful last few weeks!

We’ve been enjoying the autumn school holidays here in Denmark. Lots of us have been travelling (this is the season where Danes traditionally spend family time at a summerhouse or by the sea), but now we’re all back together and enjoying the crisp mornings with some amazing sunrises. We’ve also had some pretty stormy weather too and torrential rain!

Here comes a plethora of bathing photos… First up, morning dips with my Danish besties, Vibeke and Helene in the sun, rain and wind.

Not forgetting my Copenhagen Bluetits Chill Swimmers group. Love these crazy ladies!

Here we are, all in pink for Pinktober, which is very close to our hearts (several of our gang and their family members have experienced cancer) 💗

Oh, and this Saturday was International Swim Hat Day…

So I dug deep in my dressing up box, ha ha!

We’ve had the change of clocks this weekend and it’s dark before 5 pm now, yikes! Everyone seems to be going into full nesting mode with the hygge candles coming out. And decorating for Halloween…

It can feel a little melancholy at this time of year, but I’m also looking forward to all our winter get-togethers and socialising. Woo hoo, bring on the darkness! Did you see my recent YouTube video on making SAD a little easier? My 5 Scandinavian tips – easy and doable!
How are you embracing autumn? Are you enjoying the outdoors, getting cosy at home or looking forward to seeing friends?
Have a brilliant day! I’ll be back later this week with photos from our latest trip to our Swedish cabin!

Hugs

Add Yours →Hugs, Diane! So thankful for your update.
I was missing you today and just rewatched Tidy House Rules. I hope you will do a video on getting ready for Christmas, I do love your videos reminding me to do self care, especially at this time of the year. I made jack-o-lantern faces on my mandarin oranges, (mimicking you) I never did that when the kids were younger, now young adults visiting and remark how “cute” it is! Thanks for the update!
I’ve been checking your YouTube Channel for Countdown to Holidays. They’re my favorite videos.
Love the Pinktober 🩷 I’m almost 8 years clear now and thriving, sending love and strength to anyone going through cancer 🩷 Always a joy to see you Diane, loving your Tam o’ Shanter 🏴 🥰 stay cosy everyone from blustery UK 🇬🇧
thanks for the updates Diane, don’t know how you and friends can handle the cold water!!! those are fun ideas to wear the hats/caps. we will change the clocks this weekend and it will be good to get the extra hour of sleep, but yes, the sundown will be earlier for a few months…on the bright side, might be able to see some of the planets in November in the early morning! drinking tea and coffee, reading more, and I have an idea to add some battery ‘fairy’ lights this season.
I was thinking about you earlier today so it’s a sweet surprise to receive your update! Have a fabulous week💝
Hi Diane,
I am happy for you, that you have been keeping busy. I was looking for a new video yesterday and earlier today.
Happy Halloween!
We turn the clocks back next week in the US. I don’t like it when it is dark at 4:30 p.m. But I have more sunlight in general, in Boston, than you do in Denmark.

Hi Diane! So happy to have an update from you! Autumn has been pleasant here. We have been to a few fall festivals and are enjoying the beautiful red, orange, and yellow leaves on the trees in the woods behind us before they all start to fall to the ground. Also, I am reading an Alice Hoffman book. I love to read a few books by her each fall. Hope all is well!
Glad you ‘re back, Diane. I have missed you
Enjoyed the photos.
So good to hear from you! The days are getting shorter here in Upstate New York, and I am trying to put some new routines in place that make the darkness feel cozy rather than dreaded. Enjoy your time in Sweden please!
Have you moved into your new condo yet? Looking forward to seeing your new place & new life in the center city!
Great to hear from you again. Your inspiration is always welcome! Look forward to hearing about your move and how you’ll put your excellent skill into planning it.
Lovely to receive your uplifting post Inspiring
Thank you
So nice to hear from you! 🙏I have missed you and your lovely spirit.
Great to hear an update, Diane! Looking forward to seeing more of your content soon xx
Welcome back, Diane!
I recently watched last year’s video series on cozy, uncluttered holiday prep for Christmas. Loved the creative prompts, also the reminder to ask “why am I doing this?” each week to get a grip on holiday projects and commitments. Eager for this year’s holiday ideas! Cheers.
