Summer vacation 2025!

Here we go for Summer Vacation 2025: hubby and I have just returned from a wonderful week in sunny Split!

A woman with short hair and sunglasses stands confidently in a bustling outdoor area, wearing a floral top and light-colored pants, with people and palm trees in the background.

Have you ever been to Croatia? It was a new destination for us and we loved it!

Old Town Split, right on the sea, is a beautiful medieval city to wander — it gave me Nice and Venice vibes…

Just my kind of place. Buzzing at night and all the small alleyways provide lots of shade to hide from the sun and heat during the day. We also spotted a lot of cats!

Ever seen the TV series Game of Thrones? Several scenes were filmed in Split and there’s a little museum for fans.

We ate plenty of fresh fish and seafood…

Enjoyed cool cocktails at sundown…

And took time to simply slow down and enjoy the views!

We did a couple of day trips. By catamaran to Hvar Island…

Another medieval town with narrow alleys full of fabulous restaurants…

So much good ice cream this holiday – I think we ate one every night!

We also hired a car for a day so we could visit Krka National Park and see the waterfalls.

Another daytrip was taking a boat along the coast to Trogir (also a UNESCO site), where we stumbled upon a fabulous lunch spot.

More fresh fish, yum!

We spent time down at the beach for dips in the clear blue sea…

Relaxing, hanging out with our two grown-up kids. Reading, listening to audiobooks and my favourite tunes (love my headphones)!

All in all, a really lovely break. The Croatian coast is well worth a visit if you’re looking for sun, history and easygoing summer days!

Here’s me, attempting to do the splits in Split – ha ha!

A woman wearing a white dress strikes a playful pose by a large red sign reading 'SPLIT' at night, surrounded by palm trees and greenery.

Whether you’re heading off on holiday or enjoying time at home, I hope you’re carving out a little space for yourself today. Even a few quiet moments with a book and a cuppa (or an iced coffee!) can do wonders. What’s your version of a summer reset?

A bit of calm, a bit of structure — it all helps. If you haven’t already seen it, I shared a video recently with the 4 things to do daily for the BEST summer without stress — simple ideas to keep you feeling balanced and on track…

More photos from Split coming soon — and of course, I’ll be back with your usual gentle reminders to help you simplify, stay on track, and enjoy daily life to the max! Stay tuned!

Hugs

Your holiday looks divine! I’d be in heaven with all the fresh-from-the-sea fish (and of course with the kitties, too)!
