What’s for lunch?

Happy Friday – the weekend is on the horizon! What are you having for lunch today? Leftovers, bacon butty, a packed lunch?

My, oh my, it’s rather cold and damp in Copenhagen today! Air temp is 10c/50f and we are getting close to freezing during the night. But Angela and I enjoyed a quick lunch dip…

The sea felt very cold today for our skinny dip! But it’s the same as last week, 13c/55f. Perhaps we’re just feeling extra sensitive after a long week, ha ha!

So it was great to quickly dry off, get dressed and warm up afterwards with our little picnic! I brought along some hot, homemade soup (broccoli, carrot and cheese) in my Thermos.

Velbekomme! (Bon appétit!)

Plus some smørrebrød (hummus and Danbo cheese on slices of Danish ryebread). Our serviettes had little party balloons on them. (I stopped buying paper serviettes several ago and am using up what I have, so the patterns can be rather random, ha ha!)

It was so lovely and peaceful, and we had the place all to ourselves! We watched the birds flying south…

Then it was time to pack up, skedaddle and get back to work!

Enjoy your lunch and have a wonderful Friday!

Hugs

I’m also using up my large amount of serviettes, mostly from the kids birthday parties. Disney princess and cars 🤣

A lovely Autumn day out . I have some beautiful leeks, so making leek and potato soup today. It is cloudy and cold- soup weather! Yours sounds really good, too!

Thank you, Diane. You look happy. We had soup today, too. Froten vegetables, potatoes, onion and some garlic, salt and olive oil. Simple, tasty and good in the cold weather. Have a nice weekend.

I had lentil soup with sourdough bread. Can I ask what color is your nail polish? I always admire it here and on YouTube. Actually I love the color! Thank you and have a great weekend now back to raking.

That soup sounds delicious! I love a homemade soup and it’s great for warming you up. It’s so funny at this time of year that you’re going into the colder season and we’re ready for the warmer months 🇦🇺 😁

You are very brave! Not surprised you had the place to yourselves 😊! We’re having soup for lunch too. 😋😍🌹

Hi Diane, why did you stop buying serviettes?? Is there something wrong with them?!! We think they’re festive and fun 🤩

It’s nice support the planet and we find ways to do so in our own way without announcing our buying habits to people…. And that keeps our community stay festive and fun!!💕🥰

Cheers from St. Louis! Elizabeth
