Messy to Minimalist? 15 Years of Clutter GONE! (And you can do it too!)

In today’s YouTube video, I’m sharing how I went from a messy, chaotic home to a minimalist one over the last 15 years! At that time I had no idea what minimalism was, ha ha! I talk about the small steps, the mindset shifts, and even a funny little epiphany I had recently that made me see just how far it’s possible to come – and to give you some hope too!

Have you ever thought about decluttering or simplifying your home? What’s holding you back? Have you also had an ah-ha moment recently? Let me know in the comments!

Ready to declutter? Here are my body-doubling videos!

We can do it together – rah, rah, rah!

Hugs

Biggest hugs to you Diane! Yes, the best things in life are not the things?! For sure! All we need is love. If we don’t have love the Bible says we’re nothing but a clanging cymbal and I believe that that is so true. We’ve been created to receive and give love. Nothing more and nothing less. Filling ourselves up with those experiences from our loved ones around us and also being kind to random people who are bought across our paths is to me the greatest thing in life and one thing I will never ever regret. How much love, care and kindness have we given away and been apart of over the course of our lives? How much have we shared that with this broken and hurting world in such desperate need of it?! Those are the questions to ask ourselves when we get to the end of it all. Holding onto things or storing up material treasure on this earth is not what we were created for, we’re to store up our treasures in heaven where moths and rust can’t destroy and theives can’t steal. True treasure is of the heart and is not the material temporal world. Heaven and Eternity is the best investment and the most fulfilling one too I believe!
God bless you Diane and may He wrap His loving arms around you at this time to comfort and carry you through the health challenges that this life can bring to us. May you continue to be filled with His peace that surpasses all understanding and may you experince His loving on you now more than ever before!

Hi Diane, what decluttering has done for me is this: it improves my mental health. It gives me a sense of clarity and peace of mind… And this allows me to concentrate on really important things in life which are my relationships with friends and family. Those are irreplaceable. Things can be replaced- relationships cannot. Having less clutter sharpens my clarity and helps me make better decisions without constantly second guessing myself- or procrastinating & putting off decisions till the last minute. The two most important themes in my home are: Order and Warmth. I must have an orderly environment in which to function easily and efficiently… and it must also be warm and cosy so we can all relax together at the end of the day. Thank you for helping us achieve those goals!! You are a champion of order and warmth!!! 🩷 Elizabeth in St. Louis
