Feeling overwhelmed by the never-ending to-do list? You’re not alone — that’s exactly why I’m here! A few gentle nudges, practical tips and simple reminders to help you get organised without the stress. Getting your home and routines in order doesn’t need to be complicated and I’m showing you what it looks like in real life, right here in Copenhagen! Today is Thursday, so we’re talking about errands and staying on top of the practical bits and pieces. But we’ll also be taking a little wander through my beautiful city. Let’s go!

Thursday is Errand Day in the Flylady system — but as always, make it work for YOU and your own weekly rhythm. The idea is to gather your list and get it all done in one go: grocery shopping, returning books to the library, sending a parcel, collecting medicine from the chemist — anything that takes you out of the house. Batching errands saves me time, energy and decision fatigue which means more space in my head to enjoy summer life here in wonderful Copenhagen!

I use the Google Keep app to stay on top of things — I write everything down! (My memory is terrible these days so I note down any essential to-dos or thoughts as they occur.) I’ve got a running list on Google Keep for errands and supermarket stuff, so I don’t forget the essentials when I’m out and about. We mostly cycle here for work, play, and shopping but, if you’re using the car, you’ll save fuel too by batching your errands. A wee win all round!

If you want to learn more about getting your home and life in order without stress, see this YouTube video on the Flylady Weekly Plan ideas It’s rather old but the information is absolutely on point!
But back to Errand Day! As a minimalist, I really don’t do much shopping and, if I do, I try to stick to my list. But I do like to wander around the city. Window shopping is free, said the canny Scot – ha ha!

If you ever plan to visit Copenhagen, there are a few essentials you must pack. Comfy walking shoes (we have a LOT of cobblestones and crooked streets here, especially in Middelalderbyen (the Medieval City, Copenhagen’s city centre). Plus a raincoat or umbrella, as the weather can be unpredictable. As we say in Denmark, there’s no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing!

That’s it for today – I hope you enjoyed our little wander. Have a thoroughly thrilling Thursday!
Hugs
