Yesterday was a pretty bizarre day for me when everything that could go wrong did go wrong. No serious issues but just a build up of small, annoying things! Oh, plus it rained all day (stop me if you’ve heard that one before). I very rarely cry but it was definitely a day when I felt like I was on the brink, ha ha! But, hey ho, I managed a swim with Sue and Aga… Certainly cheered me up, even if it was blowing a gale, very choppy and cold! My friendships are my lifeline! I also went to bed early with my book last night (currently reading P.D. James, “Shroud for a Nightingale”) and had a wonderful night’s sleep, hooray!
In some good news from yesterday, I got the winter tyres put on the car. Booking the appointment with the garage was one of my recent Anti-Procrastination day tasks. I bought some sturdy tyre storage bags at IKEA recently (from their Dimpa series) and it certainly made moving the tyres into the back of the car a little less messy! We store our car tyres in our garden shed and I’m wondering if our garden mice will start nibbling the bags…we shall find out next spring!

I had been procrastinating on finishing off my weekly upkeep clean so last night, after dinner, I changed the bed sheets. It was so nice to go to bed early and get into a freshly made bed! Set your timer and go do something!
Weekly Upkeep Clean – 10 minutes on each task – it doesn’t have to be perfect!

But back to planning… the missions are straightforward and won’t leave you feeling overwhelmed. A little bit each day, and you’ll have a calm and collected holiday season.
