Crockpot/Slowcooker Ribs

DS11’s current favourite is Crockpot Ribs. Not the prettiest of dishes, I admit. But the meat literally falls off the bone when you take these ribs out the crock. And they’re fingerlicking good. But the best thing is that – as they take less than 5 minutes to prep, and there are no hot pans or ovens involved – kids can make them. All. By. Themselves. Child labour, anyone? ;D

You’ll need:

a rack of pork ribs for each person

a bottle of barbecue sauce

a crockpot (duh!)

Wash your hands. (Pyjamas can be worn if it’s Sunday morning…) Place the ribs in the crock.

Cover them with the whole bottle of barbecue sauce.

Make sure you get every last, lovely drop out…

Put the lid on. Switch the crock on it’s lowest setting and go off and enjoy your day. Just for fun, we set the timer for 5 minutes to see if DS11 could beat the clock. There was still one minute remaining…

Bon appΓ©tit and have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

  1. did you buy a crockpot here? I live here in Frederiksberg and have been wanting to get one, but I don't know where to get one. I heard people say you can buy them from the UK, but what about the plug? Do you just buy a converter or what?

  2. Hi Andreas! Thanks for stopping by from Frederiksberg – that's where we had our first flat, great area! πŸ™‚ I have two crockpots. One of them is from the UK (yes, you just buy a converter plug) and the other one is from Germany. I bought it from ebay.de (the shipping to DK isn't too bad). But keep googling…I found this today but don't know the company

  3. Oops, link won't stick, sorry!

Go to redcoon.dk and search for 'slow cooker' and a Morphy Richards brand one will show up.
