Time with friends

What’s for lunch?

A quick check in from me with a few photos from Thursday morning.

I spent a very fun few hours with my Danish Bestie, Helene…

We started off with our usual bike ride and skinnydip in the sea.

Sea temp is still cold, and holding at 4c/39f. And it was blowing a gale. Brr!

Then we did a spot of apartment hunting (for me and hubby) in the city.

But the highlight of the morning was stopping for lunch at one of Helene’s favourite French bistros, Pastis, on Gothersgade.

Helene turned 60 last month but we’re still stretching out the celebrations…

Skål, Helene!

Helene took the croque monsieur, with frites and sauce béarnaise. (See the first photo of this post.) And I had the omelette with goat’s cheese, spinach and sauce hollandaise. Everything was delicious.

Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend, wherever you are in the world.

Hugs

What a beautifully set table! The food looks just wonderful. Those yellow flowers give hope that spring is coming soon happy belated birthday, Helene! Celebrate yourself every day!

I scanned the menu and those are the dishes I chose matched what you and Helene chose! 😀 I love the contrast of spring blooms whilst still being bundled up. 🌸✨

Oh lovely! You are blessed with wonderful friends. I have enjoyed getting to know many of them on your blog and vlogs. How far will the apartment in Copenhagen be from Helene, Vivienne, Sue, swap friends and cold water swimming friends? Hopefully, you will be able to continue your friendships.

Happy Birthday to Helene. What a wonderful day the two of you had. I believe I saw a swan when you went for your dip. 🥰

Helene Happy 60th! You look wonderful! So beautiful!! That’s what I like to do stretch out that birthday month!! Thanks Diane for the beautiful flowers and including us in on the birthday celebrations! Marta
