Day Two of our 2026 Reset is here! Daily Prompts for A Better Life

Our 2026 reset has started, woo hoo! Who’s joining me for Day Two?

I wasn’t always organised, and when I felt overwhelmed the biggest thing that helped me was someone telling me exactly what to do. I didn’t have to think. That’s what we’re doing here in January – one tiny task a day for a better life in 2026 with simple daily prompts from me!

Today’s prompt is small and doable. You don’t need to plan, write anything down, or do it perfectly – just do a little bit with me right here, right now. No equipment or (over) thinking required!

Just go and do it. Rah, rah, rah! And meet me back here at the kitchen table tomorrow for the next step of our 2026 Reset!

Hugs

Our hallway entrance way has filled up over the Summer holidays with beach gear and various bits and pieces that I’ve been meaning to put away! Definitely around 10 items for sure! I’m on it right now?! Thanks Diane!! Go me! 😀

Diane, thank you for the impulse. I will put away the tablecloth we used during the holiday season, our Christmas crib and the wooden Christmas Pyramide this afternoon. This is three. See you next year, Christmas stuff. Once I am done, I will put away at least seven home baked Christmas cookies together with my family and burn the candles on our tree the last time. This makes 10 items!!

That was very funny: I stopped the time. Better say seconds: after 76 seconds I put away 11 things. 3 in the guest bathroom, 8 on my daughter’s drawer in the hall.
I will go on for 11 minutes. Counting.
—> 283 E-Mails and 12 things put away (trash and origin place)
And a second time.
—> 500 more mails deleted and 5 things put away
Thanks !

I stored the last bits and bobs from my holiday wrapping station. This new series is great: I go from dreading a major task to cheering a smaller job well done. Brilliant!

Welcome back, Diane! Loving these small daily tasks! Great to see such big improvements in such little time! I can’t wait to see what our home looks like at the end of the month. Go, me!

Thanks Diane! This is so helpful to me – just knowing it will be a small task that I can do, regardless of the day’s “particularities” –

My 10 things today will focus on kitchen counters.

Love being back at your kitchen table for Day 2, excited to find out the task for the day. I found 10 things to put away around the house, 4 in the hallway, 2 from the kitchen, 1 in the dining room and 3 in the lounge. I surprised myself, and it feels good to have completed something.

Ha ha! I did yesterday’s prompt. Cleared off “my side” of the coffee table. I was so proud of myself. DH came home and dropped my mail there. So funny. But now I have the 10 things to put away today. Smiling all the way.

Thank you for this series! I gathered rest of the Christmassy things, some random stuff just tossed on the sofa and things from the top of the freezer that has just been left there. And wiped the freezer surfaces clean!
Can’t wait for tommorrows task! My kitchen is always clean thanks to you!

I completed yesterday’s task today as I just watched your post today. I cleared our dining table and sideboard next to it. It looks so much better 😊I will also put away 10 items tonight, Thank you Lisa

Hi Diane I realized I could have done 10 items in each of my rooms. Haha So…I decided to do 10 items in my kitchen. Putting away spices, small things like my electric griddle and my rice cooker, and clearing my dish drainer and then lastly putting away the dish drainer. WOW what a difference! Thank you!!!

I love your videos Diane, you are so cheery and make cleaning under my sink fun! I really like your enthusiasm and approach Thank you so much for making these videos.
