Good morning from Copenhagen! Icy sea dip and bike ride…

Good morning from very chilly Copenhagen!

Are you getting some fresh air today, how’s the weather? We are bundled up warm today, lots of layers.

Icy cold here today for my bike ride and skinny seadip with my Danish Besties, Vibeke and Helene.

It’s slippery underfoot, so watch your step!

But we saw the most glorious sunrise!

What time is sunrise for you? Still dark until 8.39 am here!

As always, we enjoyed a hot cuppa tea to warm up afterwards! (I enjoyed some Empress Grey in my heart mug today, it has a lovely tang of orange)

Today’s sea temperature is 4c/39f. Brrrr!

Today’s fun moment: Helene’s “Lovelies” fluffy flip-flops left cute marks in the ice on the bathing bridge!

We’re babysitting Kiko (our son’s rescue cat) for a few days and he’s staying nice and warm indoors. Enjoying a nap, as usual, ha ha!

Have a wonderful day!

Hugs

The cat looks so cosy. I can’t imagine undressing and going into that freezing water. Brrrrr! I had a cup of Lady Grey tea this morning which has the orange flavour. I wonder if it just the same as Empress.
It is quite cold here in the Forth Valley but at least it is dry.
Keep cosy and warm.

I enjoy these posts so much and enjoy the look into your world so far away. I cannot imagine getting into that frigid water, but the results seem to agree with all of you, as you all look great! Wishing you a beautiful New Year’s celebration this week, and a wonderful year ahead!

We get fresh air everyday!🩷 Morning sunlight is the best way to start our day… And if it’s clouds, then the bluebirds and cardinals look all the more radiant and cheerful on our hike along the river🥰

Hubby and I don’t exchange gifts for Christmas but lavish our son shamelessly 😆 Wonderful to be able to buy such lovely gifts for him that he loves, uses, and cherishes. He’s very appreciative and grateful and so are we💕 This year, his partner joined our Christmas capers and we experienced lavishing gifts on a GIRL as well😲 How fun is that??

Some fresh air walking the dog this morning. It’s 50 headed to 39 by this afternoon. Rain is on the way along with some heavy wind. Enjoying a cup of Chai this morning. A friend gifted me an assortment of tea so I’m enjoying new flavors every day this week. What a treat as I always buy the same ones.

Oh, adorable, snuggly Kiko! 🥰
Sunrise at 8:51 here. Unseasonably warm (sigh) but bright and beautiful. Spent the whole day running errands with my BF yesterday and we enjoyed being out in the sunshine ☀️

I love that Kiko has a little stuffed toy! 🧸
Here in Ohio, the sun rose at 7:53. And we went from 60F to 22F overnight! It’s hygge time for sure!

8:17 sun is just rising on Vancouver Island….2 degrees…somehow I have no desire to get in the ocean right now.
I will enjoy a nice cup of tea and playing cards by the fire with my 10 year old grandson who is visiting for the holidays.

Your posts are inspiring! Warming up a bit here in Rhode Island (USA) before some more chilly weather. Love the Winter and walk every day enjoying the crisp air. Kiko is enjoying his time with you.

Diane, i look forward to your posts. Chesapeake is 61 degrees. Tomorrow will be much colder. Friends make life delightful. 🌞

Burrrr! Skinny dip, no thanks!
Yesterday is was in the low 40s, today is low 60s, tomorrow in the 30s. Next week we leave for sunny warm Florida for a few months.

I’m in Fargo, ND USA. Sunrise 8:12. Sunset is 4:48. Dark & cold. We just had a blizzard on Sunday & lots of snow.

Lovely pictures! Kiko is where we all would like to be; under a blanket! It is bitter cold where I am! I do like that you are having sunshine! That helps even on the coldest days!

Sunrise here in my corner of Canada is 9:06 am right now, sunset 4:45 pm. No way could I force myself to get into that cold water! Good for you! I’ll gladly watch the snow and cold through a window. Lol

Hi, I’m in Sudbury, ON, Canada and our sunrise was 8:07 a.m. today and our sunset 4:46 p.m. It won’t be long before we see a noticeable difference with the sunset time being later. I don’t mind going to work in the dark but I do enjoy coming home in daylight.
The cold water would not be for me but I enjoy seeing the photos of you and your besties.
Happy New Years everyone:)

Hi Diane,
Happy New year and thank you for all of the inspiration you have brought to my life.
42 degrees celcius in Melbourne (Australia) tomorrow.
I will be having a dip in the pool but the water is 31 degrees so a little different to what you and your friends are used to!
Also sunrise and sunset are 6.07am and 8.46pm tomorrow.
Love Narelle

Diane, I just want to share with you that not all Americans support the aggressive saber-rattling that a certain orange menace is directing at Greenland. He and his incompetent henchmen disgrace our values and our laws, to say nothing of the international accords that have guided the world for decades. I’m horrified and heartsick. Please know that many of us—perhaps most of us—stand in solidarity with Denmark and an independent and sovereign Greenland. Cheers!

I love reading your posts especially the scrummy treats you have after your swim. So inspirational! Loved the cost car pic so cute😍
