Copenhagen Crafternoon with my Danish Besties!

It wouldn’t be Christmas without…

Copenhagen Crafternoon with my Danish Besties, Helene and Vibeke!

This year our Klippe Klistre Dag (Crafternoon) was hosted by Helene. Ably assisted by her cute pets!

Vibeke (who has the patience of a Saint…) walked us through folding a traditional Danish paper star. Eight long strips of paper. Twisted, folded and turned several times over. I’ve never got the hang of them!

But the Crafternoon is just as much about the food, candles and hygge!

I brought along a pot of minestrone soup (my Mum’s recipe) and then we enjoyed hot æbleskiver (Danish Christmas donuts) and warm gløgg (mulled wine). Plus some cookies and retro chocolates!

Vibeke started a new knitting project, Helene crocheted some “cotton makeup remover pads” and I made some beanie hat tree decorations.

Have you been “crafty” this month? Those Danish small folded stars are tricky. Once I’ve folded one, I feel like I’m done for the year, ha ha!

Have a fantastic day!

Hugs

I miss my friendship group that used to have crafting sessions like these! My children and I all sit down and do one of these now every year in the lead up to Christmas. This year we painted little plaster gingerbread house ornaments and made Christmas scented salt dough ornaments! You are all truly blessed to have one another! Enjoy!!! 😀 Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!!!

Working on some home DIY at the moment which is not going well but I shall persist. No Christmas guests so I can work at my own pace. Do you know the book “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie”? Kind of describes my efforts today!🤣🤣

I have crafted 5 pointed stars and snowflakes for the windows. Feeling very cosy here this morning with candles lit and a warming tea.
Wishing you a very merry and peaceful Christmas and a happy and healthy 2026. 🎄✨️🎅

Yes, i made the little hats you showed last year. With a little card for my neighbours. And i make christmascards every year. I like it to make personal gifts.
Herbmixes, lemoncurd aso.
Happy holidays to you

I love the little hats you make! Was there instructions somewhere for them? And the stars are beautiful but I would definitely need a video tutorial!! 😉🇨🇦

It’s so lovely that your friends and you can have a hygge time and it’s very nice that they are happy to be part of your videos ❤️
