Festive Copenhagen! The Christmas tables at Royal Copenhagen and La Glace Conditori

It wouldn’t be Christmas without…

A visit with my Danish Besties, Vibeke and Helene, to see the Christmas tables at Royal Copenhagen’s flagship store. One of our many December traditions!

This year was a rather eclectic mix!

Spot the Beatrix Potter plate!

And then a bit of drama…

We need a caption for this one, ha ha!

Then we continued on to along Strøget (the walking street) to see the windows of La Glace Konditori.

The windows of the cake shop are filled with traditional Danish Christmas cakes and confections.

I’m not quite sure what I think about La Glace now selling merchandise (children’s sweatshirts and dresses). Seems a bit at odds with their history and brand image…

Hope you’re enjoying some of the sights and sounds of the festive season!

Hugs

Thank you for sharing these festive images. I loved feeling like I was one of your besties and enjoying every sight with you!

Happy Christmas time!

Thanks for taking us along 🥰 love that red table and I wonder who is dusting all those plates on the wall 😅

Isn’t it all so pretty and fun!? What a delightful way to spend a holiday evening. Hope you got to taste some goodies along the way!💛🎄✨

All looks very festive. 🎄 What a delightful way to spend an afternoon.
I noticed your camera hover slightly over the huge advent candle on the table in the first video Diane- were you trying to resist the urge to light it?😄🕯
Not sure about the uniquely shaped crockery on the second table, it didn’t look very practical , think soup could be slightly problematic.😁🥣
Thank you for taking us along with you, it’s so exciting to experience a taste of the festive season in other countries.🎅xx

Hello Diane,
Went over to YouTube to watch your day out with your besties and can’t find it. Will you post this there too?
Merry Christmas! ✨🎄✨

What a wonderful Christmas tradition! So many treats for the eye and the creative spirit. I’m curious about the little pink piggies wearing festive bows at La Glace; are they Danish symbols of something beside good holiday food?

Wishing you a Holiday overflowing with joy and love, Diane. Wishing all of us a New Year of peace and plenty. Cheers! 🥂

Thank you for taking us along. I am always so fascinated to see what your world looks like. It’s much different from middle America! But it is so beautiful, especially all decked out for Christmas. My favorite was the all the tables decked out! Copenhagen is definitely on my bucket list!!

It looks wonderful Diane the different displays are amazing from the dining table displays to the cakes 😊. I wish you, your family and friends a very Happy Christmas and all the best for the new year 🎄❤️🥂

Simply delightful! The table with curvy pendants and pink dishes is speaking most to me. Also the lovely energy of people talking and walking about. Diane, thank you for including us on your outing. Wishing everyone peace and joy!

Thank you for showing us your Christmas traditions it looks so beautiful
Merry Christmas to you and your family and friends

I love the table with the glass pendant lights, just like a child’s birthday party. So joyful. Have a happy Christmas and new year 🎄❄️❤️🥂
