Copenhagen Winter dip, dip, dip in December!

Raise your hand if you’ve been out in the fresh air this week! In no particular order, a wee look at this week’s winterbathing photos… It’s beginning to look a little festive down by the sea , ha ha!

A festive thermos designed like Santa Claus, a lit candle in a decorative glass, and a small mincemeat pie sit on a stone surface near a body of water.

First up, meet my crazy Copenhagen Bluetits Chill Swimmers peeps. A hardy bunch of ladies who know how to winterbathe in all temperatures and in all weathers. And they are masters of hygge!

Sarah-jane brought us some British mincepies (all the way from Marks & Spencer in Hastings) to munch on!

Next up? Bathing with my Danish Bestie, Helene, on a rather grey afternoon!

Don’t let the sunshine fool you, it was close to freezing!

…then circling back to the Copenhagen Bluetits! A smaller group last weekend – but more time to get in a proper chat. Lovely!

And all the more slices of Beccy’s freshly homebaked flapjacks to go round, ha ha! I brought along the Ribena and we drank it hot, with warm water. Took me right back to my childhood!

So grateful for these wonderful friends and our clean (cold) Danish seawater! Hope you enjoy some fresh air this weekend!

So glad to know that you’ve had such a fun, social, and active week, Diane! I’ve missed your posts and videos this week, but now I know you’ve been busy enjoying life!

👋 got a couple of those jarred advent candles while in Copenhagen because they are so hard to find here but it’s been a crazy December so I haven’t used them yet 😅 hopefully next year! You all look amazing- can’t tell you’re freeze with those smiles 🥰

When I think of “sunrise” my mind always thinks 5 AM, fairly sure your sunrise dip was not at 5AM. The dawning of a new day, beautiful no matter the time. Thank you for bringing us along

I continue to admire you and your cadre of friends as you heartily take your daily dips. Every one of you have a lovely complexion and I am sure that the wintery splash plays a part in your glow! Thank you for sharing your daily experiences!

Mince pies and Ribena!🥹 Mmmmm, it’s Christmas, for sure! Wishing a joyful season to you and your Besties and Bluetits friends 🩷🎄🥶

Dear Diane, The bad news is, I’m need to have surgery on December 16th. The good news is, I followed your Minimalist Christmas Checklist and my list will be completed this week! Thank you again for your guidance. Rah! Rah! Rah! to you.

I’m living vicariously through you on a snowy day here in 🇨🇦
I’m so loving those posts.
Thank you Diane

Walking in the rain with umbrellas here on the west coast of Canada…we are not made of sugar…hot coffee together afterwards is our reward….
