I realized today that in the four minutes it takes to boil water in the kettle for tea, I can dust all the steps in my foyer, especially round the edges where the cobwebs gather. Then, in the six minutes it takes the ginger turmeric tea to steep, I can dust the foyer table and chair, the frames on two large prints, and clean the glass facets on the lantern. I’m earning that cuppa, folks!
Would it be possible, Diane, to offer some checklists for January? When our Canadian winter closes in, I like to focus on indoor jobs before the garden begins its siren call in late March. However, my lists tend to be all over the place and, frequently, too long. A bit of focus would be a big help!
Thanks for this inspiration today. I have a problem with one of my shoulders and have not been able to do everything I wanted and was starting to dispair. Aftwr watching you, I decided to just slowly cook ahead and freeze things on the good days and rest in between when I needed to. A little at a time will still get it done.
Hi, Donna! I’m sorry about your shoulder. Similar difficulty slowed me to a crawl at one point and I found it hard to “practice acceptance”. Over time, I rearranged cupboards so heavier items are on lower shelves and infrequently used items are on the higher shelves. Game changer for me! Maybe it would work for you?
