3 Quick Saturday Self-Care Ideas To Boost Your Mood! Which Will You Choose? No Skipping!

In today’s blogpost I have three self-care ideas to boost your mood this Saturday! Very quick and simple. Which one will you choose? Comment below so we can inspire one another!

My Danish Bestie, Helene, and I met for an early-morning skinnydip seaswim before work earlier this week. We only had 20 minutes to spend together but it really set me up for the whole day!

Even Helene’s bathing towel, water bottle and straw beach bag made a pretty picture…

We were in and out of the bathing club in 23 minutes. Proof that self-care doesn’t need to take hours, just being intentional!

So, today’s self-care mission is all about moving your body and lifting your spirits! You’ve got two fun choices. Or you can add your own!

Option 1: Get some fresh air and gentle exercise – take a brisk walk around the block, even if it’s raining! You know what we say in Denmark, there’s no bad weather only the wrong clothing… Or pop on some of your favourite tunes and dance in the kitchen. How about some gentle stretching or a quick home workout (there are plenty of free ones online). And, yes, even 5 minutes counts!

Option 2: Reach out and connect – call, text, or even send a voice note to a friend or family member you haven’t spoken to in a while. Or dig out that nice notepaper or greetings card you’ve been keeping for “a special occasion” and write a nice message in longhand.

And if neither of these feels quite right, Option 3 is YOUR choice – any self-care activity that boosts your mood today.

But here’s the deal – you MUST pick one. No opting out! What’s it going to be? Comment below so we can keep each other accountable! My hands have seen a lot of action this week with gardening, so I’m going to repaint my nails. My tootsies too!

Have a fabulous Saturday!

Hugs

Too hot to work in our south-facing back garden, so I’m off for a walk along the coast. So lucky to live next to the north sea 😊

I finished a painting that I’ve been meaning to complete for over a year. Now it’s done and varnished! All ready for an exhibition next weekend. I’m feeling very pleased with myself 🖼🎨

It’s very hot here today, so my husband and I exercised inside at our local gym. Now I’m looking forward to a nap later!

My partner & I are off to the Theatre this evening to see The Lion, The witch & The Wardrobe & will be out all day tomorrow in a beautiful part of North Wales for my Birthday 🤗

Been to the beach this morning for a swim in beautiful sunshine, came home and made a start in clearing out the garage, now contemplating a nap!

Went for a brisk morning walk. I also picked out 2 birthday cards and an anniversary card and got those ready for delivery with special notes written in them. Self care is important even when you don’t feel like doing anything (which is me today – Lol).

I just bought a new yoga mat and some light weights. A workout with post stretching will be my pick today! Thank you, Diane, for the encouragement! Happy weekend!

It’s early here on the west coast of Canada so I am sitting enjoying my second cup of kaffe, with my kitty Mikka on my lap. I am a newbie, and so thankful a friend recommended you Diane… so because of your Saturday blog suggestions, I will play upbeat music, and light a few candles —as I continue to declutter my kitchen. (I will remember to set timers 😂). K.

done my walk for the day, tomorrow is my catch up with friends.it is so hot here today (again) so I am choosing to have a second plunge in the cold tub plus some deep breathing and some meditation. bliss

I took a walk earlier today before the heat got too much! I also finished the cozy mystery I brought home from the library! I feel cared for!

My husband and I are going to go for a walk with our dog. The weather is cool in the morning but warms up later in the day. A sign that Autumn is near. 🍃 🍂 🍁

Coffee with hubbie & son-in-law in a local café. Especially good for us as my daughter died few weeks ago. She was only 36.♥️ 💔🥹😥😩

My son just started back to school, so after walking him to school I’ve been doing a couple extra turns around our neighborhood. Starts me off on the right foot straight away!

A friend and I attended a “sip and paint” event today. We had so much fun! We both have recently returned from travels so it was great to catch up and be creative 😊

I walked our dog around a nearby park this morning (about 30 min). It was a bit cloudy so the temperature was just right! Then I answered 2 emails that have been on my mind all week and placed a call to my brother. All felt good!

Option 1 – Its quite brisk where I live near Canberra Australia but the sun is out and a walk around the park oval gives me a good boost to my mood and greeting other walkers is lovely too 😊

I finally got brave and baked my first sourdough loaf this morning! I am so proud of myself. I’ve been researching and trying to get the stater going and today was a celebration!
