On my blog today… Happy Sunday from Copenhagen! We are getting back to basics with some simple cleaning!

Whatβs the one area in your kitchen that always seems to collect clutter? The windowsill or kitchen table? The “bits and bobs” drawer? Let me know in the commentsβI bet we all have the same spots!

The Danish summer holidays are nearly over and I’m slowly getting back into my Flylady Zone cleaning. Iβll be back filming new YouTube videos very soon, but for now Iβm shaking my pom poms and cheering you on from behind the scenes β rah, rah, RAH! If you haven’t worked it out by now, this week we are heading back into Zone 2 β the kitchen, so grab your timer and letβs just do something!
Need a quick win to get you started?
Here are 4 easy-peasy ideas for this week:
Wipe down the fronts (or the shelves) of one or two kitchen cupboards.
Tidy out one drawer (just ONE!) This is my spice drawer.

Toss any expired items from the fridge or pantry.
Wash out your utensil tray or caddy, or declutter anything stained or broken.

My wooden spoons make me smile!

Pop on some music or body-double with me using one of my kitchen cleaning and decluttering videos!
You can also use my Flylady Zone 2 cleaning list if youβre in the mood to do moreβbut remember, you donβt need to do it all this week. This is an ongoing process!

I always listen to music or an audiobook on my headphones while I work. And I use a timer. Just 5 or 10 minutes here and there over the week makes a world of difference!

Letβs make things a little better β one drawer or space at a time. Let me know which kitchen mission you choose!
Hugs

And a few bags in master bathrm ! How many supplies do we need!?!!! So working on kitchen today goal to clear the clutter! πππ€©ππ€©

I have a cabinet where I keep serving platters and it seems to be where things end up that don’t have a place assigned for them to go. There were plastic bags, broken sentimental items that were at one time hoped to be fixed, pet medications, and gifted items that were never put to use. It had gotten to the point where I wasn’t using my serving items because it was just a pain to be able to get in to the cabinet and reach them. No more! I’ve tossed broken items and expired medications. Plastic bags are now gone. The cabinet is nowhere near perfect, but it is usable. It feels so much better.
Definitely the kitchen table!!
Cabinet fronts and a drawer for cleaning. Most of kitchen gadgets are hubby’s. But we have streamlined a lot the past year π.
My pantry is my nemesis this time around.
The kitchen table! EEkkkk!
One end of the countertop between the kitchen and dining area is our catch all spot. Currently there’s a survey to be filled out and posted, mail to redirect, a half done crossword, two bottles to go to the recycling and a few random items to go away in the garage and laundry areas.
Kitchen focus this week will include the cutlery drawer, high shelves and I really need to declutter the glassware.
Hubby’s on standby to clean the lower oven and that will probably happen next Saturday.
I really need to declutter my spices. Bet more than half are so old they should not even be used.
Same!!!
My table!
My cabinet fronts-theyβre overdue for a good wipe down!
My food containers cupboard
My clutter spot is the little counter by my fridge. I call it the pile of doom lol
My spices drawer needs some decluttering. Thanks for your cheering us up, Diana! π₯°π₯°
Thank you for reminding me to play music while cleaning.
Why do you put salt in your dishwasher? Did I hear you correctly?
Hi Susan! I believe it’s because European dishwashers have an in-built water softener, hence the use of salt.
My fridge for sure! I have to bend down to access the main part of the fridge and things tend to get pushed to the back.
May I have more than one please? Eeek!
