In today’s Newsletter! Our Friday goals and mission number 10 of the Flylady early Christmas planning missions! But, first of all – are you making your daily Routines a priority? They are the bookends of our day, our safety net. When we are stressed, overwhelmed, tired, don’t know WHAT to do, they give us focus! Here’s how I start my day – with a cold plunge in my She-Shack. Hope I don’t scare you with my “just out of bed” hair and face, ha ha! Not glamorous but I get an energy boost which launches me into my day! What’s in your Morning Routine or Evening Routine? You don’t need to WANT to do them, you just have to get them DONE!
In other news, Friday is tidy out your car and handbag/purse. Set a timer for 5 minutes and see how much you can get done! Get the kids to tidy out their schoolbags, sportsbags etc. Check the baby’s stroller/pram and changing bag. Feels so good to get these organised and ready for next time! Friday is also Date Night – treat yourself and/or your partner! Hubby and I like to stay home on Fridays and I always make up a little basket of treats (a tradition from when our kids were small).
Friday’s hygge Christmas planning mission is all about budgeting and avoiding perfectionism. I know, not the sexiest subject! But so important that we don’t let our spending run away with us or think that we have to keep shopping to find the perfect gift! The hygge planning missions are straightforward and won’t leave you feeling overwhelmed. A little bit each day, and you’ll have a calm and collected holiday season. You can find my check-off list here (a Canva template you can modify). But you don’t need a list to start: watch todayβs video, move your bahookie and start! If you miss a day or two, don’t go back.
