What are you reading right now? πŸ‘‹πŸ˜ƒπŸ“š Just back home after a very relaxing weekend at our Swedish cabin, just me and hubby! πŸ₯° πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ͺ🏑 (We drive over the Øresund Bridge, journey time from Danish home to Swedish cabin takes one hour πŸš—) Walks by the beach 🌊🌊🌊 ran this morning πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’¨ spot of shopping πŸ›’πŸ›’πŸ›’ and finished two books...loved Anthony Horowitz, one of my favourite authors πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ Audio version of The Twist of a Knife, 4 stars! And excellent narration! Janice Hallett (The Twyford Code) was just so so, 3 stars (not as 'appealing' as The Appeal - ho, ho! - which I loved). Anyway, we are back home in Copenhagen, unpacked, dinner eaten and my Evening Routine is done! Starting a new book tonight, after we watch the men's handball finals...Denmark πŸ‡©πŸ‡° versus France πŸ‡«πŸ‡· πŸ€Ύβ€β™‚οΈπŸ€Ύβ€β™‚οΈπŸ€Ύβ€β™‚οΈ 😱🀩 β„οΈβ˜€οΈβ„οΈ Are you getting outside daily? Who's still swimming? πŸ˜πŸŠβ€β™€οΈπŸ‡©πŸ‡° ❄️ Friday was a classic Copenhagen icy winter morning (frozen bird bath in the garden) but just look at that glorious SUNSHINE! πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ Pure balm for the soul and ideal conditions for a refreshing skinnydip seaswim!β˜€οΈβ˜€οΈβ˜€οΈ Sea 3c/37f, air 1c/33f πŸŒŠπŸŒŠπŸ‡©πŸ‡° PART TWO! (See previous post!) πŸŽ„ What was in your Advent Calendar: chocolate, tea..? πŸŽ„ It's my day off and I'm having a brilliant day of planned fun with my partner in crime, Erika in America! πŸ‘πŸ˜πŸ’– We're using coupons from our Copenhagen Calendars... πŸ‡©πŸ‡° The calendars cost 250 kroner and each "door" had a coupon for a free experience or gift from a participating business (hair accessory, glass of wine, a day at the races, mini golf for 4 friends, etc) at absolutely NO cost, no purchase necessary (not a '50% off' type of thing). The proceeds of the calendar sales go to charity and it encourages people to use local businesses. Win win! πŸ‡©πŸ‡° And most coupons are valid through January/February/spring so the fun lasts well beyond December! 🀩 πŸ₯•πŸ₯—πŸ‹πŸ„ What are you having for dinner tonight? No brainer for me...HAGGIS! πŸ˜‚ Happy 25 January = Burns Night! πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ ΏπŸ‘‹πŸ€© Are you Scottish? Ever been to a Burns Supper or have Scottish heritage? Love haggis or would you rather not?? πŸ˜±πŸ˜† (I have an old YouTube video showing how I make Haggis Pie and a deconstructed Millionaire Shortbread dessert https://youtu.be/OCCJDune0VA πŸŽ₯) Not easy to get fresh haggis here in Denmark so I buy tins when I'm visiting Mum in Edinburgh! πŸ₯° Spoke to Mum earlier and she's having haggis, neeps and tatties tonight 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Are you planning fun for yourself? πŸ€” If it's not in the diary, it probably won't happen! πŸ˜πŸ—“βœ…οΈ Tuesday is "plan and play" day in Flylady Land (pick any day that suits YOU) πŸ—“ I check my calendar, pay bills and contact friends/family to see when we can meet up. My International Ladies group (LINK Denmark) has some great activities planned for February/March and I've signed up (together with Erika from America) for an Asian/Danish cooking workshop πŸ—‘πŸ‘©β€πŸ³πŸ‘©β€πŸ³πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ and a Hammam Spa night πŸ§–β€β™€οΈπŸ›€πŸ”₯πŸ’¦βœβ˜ŽοΈ 🀩 Wasn't a very productive work day today and I've been in a bit of a funk πŸ™„ so I wore a favourite outfit (love stripes!) and, hey ho, I DID put my Ice Swimming World Championships poster into a frame and it now has pride of place in my office! πŸ˜ŠπŸ–Ό Plus I've finished my Evening Routine, mixed up a batch of my famous easy peasy overnight rolls and am now watching a favourite episode of Brokenwood (3:7) πŸ’ͺπŸ˜πŸ“Ί We all need something to look forward to...fun in the calendar and freshly baked rolls for breakfast! πŸ₯° Have a great evening!
