‘Tis the season to be baking. School is almost finished for the summer and my birthday is almost here. So I’ve been doing a lot of baking and cake decorating this past week. In fact, I dread to think how many eggs, packs of butter, bags of flour and sugar I’ve gone through! š So I thought it only fitting to direct you to the following website if you’re in need of a good tee-hee this Tuesday. (I’ve mentioned this site before but it definitely deserves a re-airing.)
And while we’re on the subject, I’ve decided to share a couple of pictures of our entry for last Friday’s school cake competition. We didn’t win, but you can judge for yourselves whether our Lego cake should be submitted to the ‘cakewrecks’ website… š
Have a terrific tee-hee Tuesday! š
They're adorable! I love them! No cakewrecks there! š
Well done on your Lego cakes! Must have taken a while! I saw something like this on a youtube channel – Howdini.com, a Betty Crocker series all about cake making – see if you can search for it – there were loads of wonderful ideas on there if you are into making your own fancy kids cakes. My attempt at a cake made into a shape sorter toy didn't turn out too bad but didn't win any prizes either LOL – was fun to make though! :o)
Howdy Asfora! ;D I found the idea for the cake on google (we wanted to incorporate our chocolate lego men!) and then found the link to Howdini… š
Love your shape-sorter cake! Great colours too, did you use paste?
Another great place for ideas (cakes, crafts, kids parties) is familyfun.com
Thanks Elisa, I know I can always count on your support! (Where do I send the cheque?!)
