Hey Mr DJ! – Part One

DH and I have started the detailed planning for our Copper Anniversary in October. How many years have we been hitched? Em, that would be twelve and a half… For those not familiar with this quaint Danish custom of celebrating wedding anniversaries 12 years and 6 months after the fact, it’s all explained in a previous blogpost – Those Crazy Danes (Part 4)

The celebrations will include a big party and, of course, a professional DJ. And, as DH is  we’re paying, we get to choose what he plays – he he! I’m putting together a list of essential tracks, which I’ll add to my Flylady Copper Anniversary Control Journal. Lots of stuff from the 90s (when DH and I first met, aww), new hits and, naturally, some oldies but goldies. Guaranteed floorfillers, each and every one… But, as this list is only a starting point, please, please won’t you feel free to chime in? Here are the first tunes that popped into my little head. Errors and exceptions (and country music) excluded! πŸ˜‰

  1. ooh, good picks! now I've got Groove is in the Heart on the brain… makes me wanna dance! πŸ˜‰

  2. Learn to FLY by the Foo Fighters? For Flylady reasons, and since it came out in 1999!

  3. Hey JoAnna, makes me want to dance too… Funny that my DD8 likes Groove is in the Heart thanks to a wii game!

Lee, have you got your flight booked yet? ;D

  4. This sounds great Diane! If I may suggest I'm gonna be(500 miles)by The Proclaimers. DH and I have fond memories of travelling listening to Sunshine on Leith. Would have played it at our wedding if we could;)

  5. Jen, that is a great one! I always find that "Sunshine on Leith" is a tearjerker…because I was born in Leith, went to school there and I saw The Proclaimers in concert on Leith Walk!!! πŸ˜€
