What’s for lunch?

A quick check in from me with a few photos from Thursday morning.

I spent a very fun few hours with my Danish Bestie, Helene…

We started off with our usual bike ride and skinnydip in the sea.

Sea temp is still cold, and holding at 4c/39f. And it was blowing a gale. Brr!

Then we did a spot of apartment hunting (for me and hubby) in the city.

But the highlight of the morning was stopping for lunch at one of Helene’s favourite French bistros, Pastis, on Gothersgade.

Helene turned 60 last month but we’re still stretching out the celebrations…

Skål, Helene!

Helene took the croque monsieur, with frites and sauce béarnaise. (See the first photo of this post.) And I had the omelette with goat’s cheese, spinach and sauce hollandaise. Everything was delicious.

Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend, wherever you are in the world.

Hugs

I scanned the menu and those are the dishes I chose matched what you and Helene chose! 😀 I love the contrast of spring blooms whilst still being bundled up. 🌸✨
