Happy Thursday from rather dreich Copenhagen!

The snow has almost disappeared here now (the roads, pavements and bike paths are clear) and it feels like we’re slowly coming out of winter. Just a bit of snow here and there…

But the sea is still just above freezing, brrrr!

This week I’ve been out winterbathing with Helene and Vibeke. We bike together and chat on the way. Even though we’ve been winterbathing for over 13 years, it never gets old!

Yesterday, Wednesday, was a very depressing, cold, windy, grey day. But made infinitely better by a dip with my sweet friend Angela!

Happy days!

Oh, and she brought along some of her yummy freshly-baked Anzac biscuits for us to enjoy with our cuppa tea. Yum, and thank you, Angela!

What’s your little ritual that keeps you going through the darker months? I need to get outside every day, whatever the weather.

Have a thoroughly thrilling Thursday! And remember to wrap up warm if you’re heading out for a dip!

Hugs

Add Yours →I love to do my cold plunge before breakfast, followed by a coffee. I also bought a sauna but haven’t done it for a few weeks due to life stress 😕. I must prioritise this for March
I think it’s important to get out every day no matter what the weather, cold or hot. Anzac biscuits with a cuppa yum 😋and friends definitely make everything better 😊
I just had to look up Anzac biscuits and got a great recipe to try. If I were there with you I think I would have just eaten them and skipped the sea bathing😂Brrrrrr
Love all the photos. I’ve just gone for a swim in the ocean here in Australia and it was a very different experience!😁 You and your friends look like you’re having a great time!
I love being outdoors all times of the year. I am blessed to be born, raised, and living in the San Francisco Bay Area where weather is mild compared to other parts of the world. We just ended a few weeks full of rain and today had an oddly sunny and warm 75 degrees Fahrenheit. (23.89 Celsius). A very warm day for this time of year. It was so lovely, I literally just sat outdoors for an hour and did nothing!
Good evening dear Diane, thank you for sharing this lovely photos. Your close and lovingly friendship increasing sea swim and goodies ist wounderful to see for me. You metioned in your last video that you will have a look to your dyt and wardrobe actions. Since a few weeks ago I’ve got the book from carol tuttle and I’m very exited in reading it. I’s a challenge for me causing my Englisch 🙃 but its great! I’m 64y now but I’ve a lot to learn about me😀 thank you Diane for your showing me this way❤️ have a great weekend
I am certainly partial to an ANZAC biscuit being an Aussie?! It’s the unique butter, sweet golden syrup combined with the oats flavor that I love?! 😀 Oh Yum! Delicious!
I’ve discovered you this past month and on the final day of update 2026. Celebrating here in Indiana with a trip into town for a swim at our YWCA. Then coming home to bake some maple scones and a have a cup of tea. I live on a lake that is covered with ice. Yesterday saw 3 Sandhills cranes walking across it outside my window so I know that Spring will follow soon.
