Bathing with the Besties and 2026 Reset | Day 12

Good morning from wonderful Copenhagen! It was wonderful to be back together with my Danish besties, Vibeke and Helene, yesterday for our skinnydip in the sea! Very chilly and bustery winds which gave us a wind chill of minus 8c/11f! But before I show you more photos, let’s tackle our tiny task for today!

Three women smiling together outdoors in winter attire, wearing scarves and hats, standing by a body of water.

Week three, day 12 of our 2026 Reset. What do I have in store for you today?

Go do your task right now! I love that so many of you are seeing results, just by checking in with me daily at the kitchen table here in Copenhagen. I’ve got our bathmat going in the machine right now. Need some more directions or want me to hold your hand and chat to you while we work? See my YouTube series for hygge home inspiration!

And keep warm out there! We looked quite crazy on the bathing bridge with our woolly hats and scarves on…

Three women smiling at the camera, wearing warm robes and hats, standing outdoors by the sea on a windy day.

But in a crazy world, it’s the connection with my Besties that keeps me upright!

A person standing on wooden decking, wearing beige fluffy slippers and a patterned towel draped over their arm, with bare legs visible.

The edge of the sea is beginning to ice over. There were ducks skating on it, ha ha!

A coastal scene featuring a rocky shore with patches of seaweed, calm water, and a cloudy sky. Ducks are visible in the water, and there are trees and grass areas in the background.

Okay, enough chat. Off you go and let me know when you’ve done today’s tiny task! Happy Tuesday!

Hugs

Thanks for today’s task! I’m grateful that since following you the past few years things are in pretty good shape consistently here!

I finally changed the foot towel and hand towel in our extra bathroom, they were there quite a while. Thank you Diane, also for the inspiring pictures.

Thank you, Diane! Your cheerfulness and smile are a blessing!
Towels in the wash, 1 bathroom drawer decluttered and a quick swish and swipe! All together was less than 10 minutes- I easily could have THOUGHT about doing this all day long but now it’s done! Rah, Rah, Rah!

Right on cue for this bathroom reminder. I have changed the shower curtain and cleaned the shower curtain rail, the shower fittings and disinfected the shower mat in the bath. That’s enough for one visit. Years ago I used to clean the whole bathroom in one go, mainly because it was not a job I liked doing and it would be left too long. Not any more, I clean in small sections at a time and I still don’t like cleaning the bathroom, so anything that makes it more fun is good for me. Seeing you in the morning Diane , brightens my day and I only have to see the photos of the sea where you are for my spirit to lift. Thanks and have a lovely Tuesday !

Yup, this one is perfectly timed! Mirror and sink shined. Bath mat in the wash. Toiletries decluttered. Rah! Rah! Rah!
Thanks, Diane!!

Thanks again, Diane!!
These tasks are small but mighty.
I am suffering from sciatic pain so I can only do one brief task at a time. Your reset encourages me to do what I can and trust it will be enough.
Today is a bathroom drawer where I keep makeup and other personal things. And also swipe the sink and mirror while I’m in there. Have a great day everyone!

You always lift my spirits, which at the moment is desperately needed. 😔 wow frozen sea and ducks, a beautiful sight. Nature is a healer 🦆😊

Did a quick clean in (swish-and-swipe and mirrors) in the two bathrooms. Total time about 10 minutes. We are having our ductwork cleaned and sealed today. I don’t think it has ever been done and the house is nearly 50 years old. Lots of dust!

This was perfect timing! I had a friend coming over so this was already on my list! Love this series, thank you so much!
