Here it's grey! 😄 More rowdy waves, very blustery and a windchill of 0c/33f to freeze our bones for our skinnydip seaswim and bike ride this morning! ❄️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🚲🚲🚲🇩🇰 Hot tea, as always, in our bone china teacups plus some of my homemade chocolate Christmas fudge (see my YouTube video, super easy, only 3 ingredients 🎥 https://youtu.be/oSkP-18GRLk ) and Vibeke brought us "honningkager" (honey cakes) 😋🫖☕️☕️ Every day is a special occasion! Sea 5c/41f, air reel feel 1c/33f ❄️ 🌊🌊🇩🇰 Enjoy your day! 🤩☕️ Happy Wednesday from very, very, very dark Copenhagen! 👋😁🇩🇰 It's Anti-Procrastination day in Flylady Land, The day to set your timer for 5 minutes and attack all those little jobs that you have been putting off... 😉 Changing a lightbulb, cleaning out the rabbit hutch, putting away laundry! Or perhaps you've been procrastinating on your self-care??! 🤔 I love to read in bed, before switching off the light 📚 and yesterday I finished a thoroughly entertaining Agatha Christie (Dumb Witness) which I had picked up from our local free book exchange. I also love to listen to audiobooks while I clean 🧹💦 and this one-hour BBC adaptation of Agatha Christie (Five Little Pigs) was great company too! 🎧 We keep all our Christmas library books on top of the piano, ready to delve into whenever we need a little break 🎄📚📚📚🕯🎄😍 (See Monday's YouTube video for a list of my favourites - https://youtu.be/kMpYpqkLE6g ) 🎥 Maybe you can set your timer and "tinkle the ivories" today! Or swimming in a woolly hat? 😄🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️❄️❄️❄️☁️☁️☁️🇩🇰 Grey skies today but we livened up the harbour with our rainbow of hats and swimming costumes 😁🌈💚💙🤍🧡❤️💛💜🌈 The usual Saturday morning shenanigans with my Copenhagen Bluetits Chill Swimmers peeps plus a fabulous breakfast buffet today, not limited to but including some OHIO Buckeyes (from Erika's hometown)! 😋🍪🍞🍫🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️💙 🐦🐦🇩🇰 🌊🌊🌊 Go Bluetits! 🌊🇩🇰 Love this group of ladies, a pure energy boost! 🙏😁🌈 Sea 6c/42f and air 5c/41f Are you Shopping or Swapping today??? 💚💚💚 Happy GREEN Friday from Denmark! 👋😃 I know the Black Friday tradition has turned up in many countries (even if we don't celebrate Thanksgiving!) but remember it's only a bargain if the item was already on your list! 😉 Here in Copenhagen we're keeping Friday GREEN and, as in previous years, I'm going to a couple of Public Swaps (similar to our Clothes Swap Parties) and have a bag of decluttered items to donate 👏🥳 Don't shop, swap! 🤩🇩🇰 Photos from last year... my daughter was delighted with these heart-shaped Le Creuset ramekins she found, I loved the gold glimmer antlers hairband and a friend was delighted with the Shetland wool I took for her. Never know what you'll find! 👏😃🇩🇰 Today I'm doing GREEN Friday with my Bestie, Erika from America, and there are always high jinks involved when we get together so stay tuned! 😂😂😂💖🇩🇰💚💚💚 How's your mood today? 🧡 Everyone around me here is feeling a little down this week, me included! 😔 The last full week of November, the end of autumn, is always tough here 🍁🍁🍁 A combination of the sudden darkness, bitterly cold weather, no sun for days and a heavy lull in the proceedings before the "Christmas month" (as it's known here) fully kicks off. So I'm dressing in orange today, to add back a little zest! 👋😁🍊🍊🍊 And leaning fully into self-care (favourite TV, comfort food, crisps and chocolate, warm shower, fresh air, etc). This, too, shall pass! 😊🧡 ✅️ 👊😁My "gotta dos" are done, woo hoo! Check in with me when you've done your Morning or Evening Routine! 🥳 Even if you don't WANT to do it, it FEELS so good to get it done, don't you think?! 🥳 Kitchen closed, fresh teatowel and handtowel out, coffeemaker and breakfast table set up, outfit ready for tomorrow ⭐️ Kettle's on and hubby's making our usual pot of Spiced tea and biscuits 😋🫖☕️☕️🍪🍪 Woo hoo, the traditional fresh Christmas tree for the bathing club arrived today! 👏😃🎄 It's erected on the end of the main bathing jetty and secured by several strong cords to withstand storms, snow, ice etc 🌊🎄 In other news, still rowdy waves, blustery and below zero windchill to freeze your bones for our skinnydip seaswim this morning! ❄️❄️❄️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🇩🇰 Hot tea, as always, in our bone china teacups 🫖☕️☕️ Every day is a special occasion!
