Got my Evening Routine done (πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ😁) and my gear is all set for tomorrow: World Bluetit Chill Swimmers Day! πŸŒŽπŸŒπŸŒπŸŠβ€β™‚οΈπŸŠβ€β™€οΈπŸŠβ€β™‚οΈπŸŠβ€β™‚οΈπŸ¦πŸ¦πŸ€© Scottish and Danish flags packed πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ ΏπŸ‡©πŸ‡°πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ ΏπŸ‡©πŸ‡°πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ ΏπŸ‡©πŸ‡°πŸ¦ Are you checking off your list? βœ…οΈβœ…οΈβœ…οΈ Kitchen closed, fresh teatowel and handtowel out, coffeemaker and breakfast table set up ⭐️ And now for a very large glass of wine and diving head first into our weekend snack basket 🍷🍷🍫🍫 Enjoy your evening! πŸ‘πŸ€© πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Are you wearing anything on your head today? β˜”οΈπŸ‡©πŸ‡° Happy Friday from very wet and cold Copenhagen where we're making our own sunshine! πŸ€©πŸŒˆπŸŒˆπŸš²πŸš²β˜”οΈβ˜”οΈ Got caught in the rain on our bike ride to the sea but we were all prepared for our skinnydip seaswim in the pouring rain...Vibeke with her souwester and me with a (clean) rubbish bag on my head! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚β˜”οΈ My Granny in Scotland always used to do the same when it rained! πŸ‘΅β˜”οΈ And she would always turn shopping bags inside out because she refused to be an advert for stores πŸ’ͺShe was a cool lady! 😍 Every day is a special occasion...make your own sunshine if necessary! πŸ€©β˜€οΈ Sea 15/59f air 10c/50f β˜”οΈβ˜”οΈβ˜”οΈπŸπŸŒŠπŸŒŠπŸ‡©πŸ‡° Woo hoo, it's Livingroom week in Flylady Land (Zone 5) - where we focus our energy this week! πŸ₯³ Go find 3 items to declutter! ❎️❎️❎️ Newspapers you meant to read but didn't get round to, library books which need returned, spent candles, boardgames you don't enjoy? 🎲 Sometimes we get so used to being in this room that we don't notice what's in front of us πŸ˜„ (I find it useful to take a photo, helps to see the space with a fresh eye) πŸ“Έ Set a timer for 5 or 10 minutes and start! ⏰️ On Tuesday I worked in one cupboard (found old piano notes for paper recycling ♻️ and some sheet music/piano books to pass on to a friend πŸ“š ) On Wednesday I cleared two whole shelves of the bookcase, old CDs (found lots to declutter plus taking a bag of CDs, music memorabilia to a dealer who gives cash or credit 🎸) And today, Thursday, I finally said goodbye to an old plant πŸͺ΄ 😁 It's had a long good life but has been withering away these past few weeks despite repeated attempts to revive it. Today was the day! πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺPlus two very old random remote controls! πŸ˜… What can you find? Nothing to declutter? Spend 10 minutes cleaning! πŸ§ΉπŸ’¦ I shall be cheering you on with my pom poms! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ Come back and let us know what you did! Are you a black pudding fan? 🍳πŸ₯—πŸ˜ Happy Wednesday = Anti-Procrastination day in Flylady Land (pick a day of the week that suits YOU)! πŸ‘πŸ˜ Set a timer for 10-15 minutes and do something you've been putting off (phone call to the doctor, paying a bill, small repairs, removing nasties from the fridge). It's usually not as bad as you think! πŸ˜πŸŽ‰ On Wednesdays I wipe off a shelf or drawer in the fridge. That stops it from building up and being a nasty task! 🀩 At the moment we're eating our way through the contents of our basement freezer (will no longer use it => save electricity πŸ‘πŸ˜πŸ’°βš‘οΈβš‘οΈ) Currently eating Irish black pudding. Yum! Ate it (as usual) for breakfast with eggs, but also made a hash for dinner: fried leftover potatoes, onions, apples (from our garden 🍏🌳) and savoy cabbage, then topped with a fried egg πŸ₯¬πŸ³πŸ§… Plenty of brown sauce and pickled beetroot. Delicious! πŸ˜‹ Perhaps you've been procrastinating on looking after yourself? Doesn't need to cost money or take a lot of time or effort, said the Canny Scot! πŸ˜‰πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ Just do something nice for you! Do 5 to 10 minutes on each task, keep moving forward! Max one hour ⏲️ (Many tasks can be done in 5 minutes) What's your favourite part? Mine is vacuuming! 😁 I listen to my fave songs or an audiobook while I work 🎧🎡 but I've plenty of "clean with me" videos if you want me to hold your hand (see YouTube playlist below) 🎬 It's Tuesday and I cleaned after dinner tonight 🧹 It's already dark in Copenhagen by 7pm now πŸ‡©πŸ‡° but it's hyggelig to clean by candlelight! πŸ•―πŸ•―πŸ•―πŸ‘πŸ˜ Is it dark where you are? πŸŒ› Do you get seasonal depression?
