Who's doing their Routines today? ✅️✅️✅️ Woo hoo, it's Sunday and my Evening Routine is done! 👏😁🎉🎉🎉 I do my Routines every single day of the week because they are LESS work and LESS stress than not doing them! 😉💪😁 Kitchen closed, fresh teatowel and handtowel out (another new teatowel from our visit to Iceland...this one is puffins, their national bird! 😍🇮🇸 Teatowels make a great clutter-free souvenir). Fresh blooms from the garden - tonight is lily of the valley, so toxic but such a heavenly scent - and candles, selvfølgelig, for our Danish hygge! 🌿🌿🌿🕯🇩🇰 Coffeemaker and breakfast table set up ☕️🥣 My outfit is ready and hanging on the back of our bedroom door. 👕👖📿💄 Enjoy your evening wherever you are in the galaxy! 👩‍🚀🚀👨‍🚀 What does your Sunday look like? 👋🤩 Happy Sunday from was grey but now sunny Copenhagen! ☀️🇩🇰 Sunday is my "rest and recharge" day. Did my usual Morning Routine (as I do every day of the week - stops the overwhelm and only takes a few minutes to cover the basics). Woo hoo! 🥳 🏡 Did a short 20 minute run in the park before lunch 🏃‍♀️💨 The rhododendron in our garden are about to burst into bloom! 🏡👏😃🌸 Hubby is away on business but our son is visiting for a few days (our daughter was here last week), so never a dull moment! 😅 Dinner was a rare takeaway (I usually cook 6/7 days a week and we go out to a restaurant about once a month). My son and I are the only two in the family who like sushi so that's what we ordered and we ate it outside in the garden - yum! 🍣🍣🍣😁 What's your plan for today? Have a super Sunday! 💖 Any nice plans for today? Dog walking, working on projects, spending time with family? 👋😃☀️ Saturday mornings for me = sea swimming! ⚓️ Oh, what a wonderful morning with my Copenhagen Bluetits Chill Swimmers group! 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰😍🐦 Nothing better than welcoming a new member to our Copenhagen Bluetit flock - and, of course, the ceremony of presenting them with a special Bluetits badge/pin to mark that very special first swim! So much joy and laughter! 😃🌊🏊‍♀️ And I brought some breakfast for us, my overnight rolls (see my YouTube channel for the recipe)👏😁🥖🍯 Sea 13c/55f, air 9c/48f 🌊🇩🇰 Love this group of ladies, always a mood booster! 💙💙💙 Have a super Saturday wherever you are in the galaxy! 👋🤩 💦😁 No more bathroom horror! We've been concentrating our efforts in Flylady Zone 3 this week (the bathroom plus one other room) for cleaning and decluttering 🚽🚿🛀⏱ (See my YouTube video from this week for a 15 minute "clean with me" video and tips on hygge and self-care in this zone: https://youtu.be/_HW7FaXB40s ) 👋🤩🎥 We're not trying to clean ALL the things or crossing everything off the list! We are keeping our homes tidy and cosy. No marathon cleaning sessions - spend 5 minutes when you are already in there, showering/brushing your teeth/when the kids are in the bath 🛀🌿 Set that timer and do one thing! 🤩⏱ Remember to check your stocks of toilet paper, toothpaste, shampoo etc and add to your Errand Day list 🧻🧻🧴 My "other room" this week has been our garden shed as everything is blooming here right now 🌸🌸🌸🏡👩‍🌾 (You could also choose your sewing space, laundry area, guest bedroom) 🏡 I did a quick sweep 🧹 and found some items to declutter: kids' pennyboards and a bike basket. They have already gone to new kids who will use and love them! Woo hoo! 🛹🛹👦👧😍 A few minutes here and there all adds up! 💪😃🎉 Go do something right now, I will be cheering you on with my pom poms! 🎉🎉🎉 Rah, rah, rah! 🏃‍♀️💖 📚🏃‍♀️🧖‍♀️ What's your self-care today, Friday? 👋🤩 It can be as simple as enjoying a new drink in your favourite cup, taking a minute to watch the raindrops on the window, taking a different route for your run or dog walk, or listening to a chapter of an audiobook 👋😃 My daily self-care is my bike ride and skinnydip seaswims with my Besties! 🇩🇰🚲🚲🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️⚓️🤩 Photos from yesterday morning (sunny) and today (clouds) and our picnic breakfasts 🥣🥣 Today we were joined by a heron 🦩and cute dogs 🐕🐕😍 And, as always, we enjoyed a cuppa hot tea in our bone china teacups (we transport them in tupperware boxes for protection) ☕️ 🫖 Every day is the special occasion! 😃 I love the sea in all its shapes and forms...the last photos are from last winter, same spot, when the sea/ocean froze over (you could literally walk on water! 😁🚶‍♀️) and we had to break the ice in order to have our skinnydips! 😂🪓🪓🪓❄️❄️❄️ Today was much warmer 🏝🦩 Sea 12c/53f, air around the same 🚲l🌊🇩🇰 🛒🍊🍎🥕🇩🇰🌷 Do you have greengrocers where you live? I love biking past the one in our village, always such a riot of glorious colour! And so many pretty plants for the garden! 🚲🤩🌈🥕🍎🥦🍊🌷🌻🌱☀️ Happy Thursday from - once again - sunny Copenhagen! 👋😁🇩🇰 It's "Errand Day" in Flylady Land but it can be any day of the week which suits YOU! 🛒 Make a list/gather things before you head out the door to run Errands. What do you need to pick up from the chemist/pharmacist, buy at the supermarket, hand in to the library or get from the ironmonger/hardware store? Having a list/plan is a great time, money and stress saver! 🛒👏🤩 We're in Flylady Zone 3 this week (see Monday's YouTube video to "clean with me" 🎥) and I've checked supplies in cupboards in the main/ground floor bathrooms to see what we need: toilet roll and toothpaste 🚽🧻🪥💦 Our daughter is visiting us for a few days so extra milk this week but otherwise just the basics (fresh Danish ryebread, "leverpostej", etc) 😃🥛🥛🥛🥪 Have a thoroughly thrilling Thursday! What's the best thing about doing your Evening Routine? How long have you had a Routine? ⭐️ Years ago, before I started using the Flylady system back in 2006, I would leave the dinner dishes, pots and pans overnight, would stay up way too late zapping around on the TV and leave piles of stuff in the living room before heading to bed. Thinking, oh well, I'll finish that tomorrow 😂 And, of course, woke up grouchy next day, always got off to a bad start and felt overwhelmed with life all the time! 😭🤪 I LOVE the peace of mind I get now from just spending a few minutes every day following through on the basics. I feel like I'm tying up my day with a bow 🎀 and can really enjoy the rest of my evening! 👏🤩 So, once again my Evening Routine is done and we're settling in 😊 Kitchen closed, fresh teatowel and handtowel out (NEW teatowel from our visit to Iceland! 🇮🇸 Teatowels make a great clutter-free souvenir). The day we spend a few minutes doing those little (or big...) things we've bern putting off! ✅️✅️✅️ Set your timer for 5 minutes and get started! Need to make a medical appointment, write a card, clean out the cat litter? 🐈 I've done a lightning 5 minute declutter in our garden shed (Flylady Zone 3) because our rubbish/recycling will be collected tomorrow! 🏡 Found some old toys, past-their-best Xmas decorations/raffia items and jam jars which I don't need for storing bits n' bobs any more. Woo hoo! 😁⭐️⭐️⭐️ I've also swapped over my gardening tools into my new stool/bag which the kids bought me for Mothers' Day 👩‍🌾🧺 Go me! To celebrate, I cut some large posies of fresh lilacs from the garden ✂️🌸🌸 Beautiful blooms! 🥳 And on Wednesdays I check the back our fridge/wipe down one shelf when I'm cooking dinner (keeps it from getting overwhelming) 👩‍🍳🥕🥕🥗 Okay, your turn!
