What are you looking for?

🤩 What are you waking up to? Hot coffee, the sound of rain battering on the windows, sink full of dirty dishes, a hungry cat? 😅 I don't always feel like doing my Routines but I looooove the flipside, when I wake up all groggy and the coffee is hot and our kitchen doesn't look like a disaster zone! 🙌😄🔥☕️☀️💦 You don't have to want to do your Routines, you just have to do them! 😉 Set a timer for 5 minutes and go do something from your list! ⏰️⏰️⏰️ 😄🚲🚲🚲🇩🇰🏁🇫🇷🚲🚲🚲 Oh my, what an amazing day with @erikabirch_artanddesign ! Tour de France 2022, part one! The Tour is kicking off in wonderful wonderful Copenhagen this year! Yes, it rained (after a full week of sunshine and a heatwave) but, hey ho, Tour What's on your Errand List?? 🍒🔥🇩🇰☀️ Happy Thursday from Copenhagen where the heatwave continues...I saw the supermarket had put the kids summer/beach toys in a chiller cabinet (see second photo)! 🤽‍♀️🤾‍♀️🤾‍♂️💦😂🇩🇰❄️☀️ Today is "Errand Day" in Flylady Land but it can be any day of the week which suits YOU! 👏😃🛒 What do you need to pick up from the chemist/pharmacist, buy at the supermarket, hand in to the library or get from the ironmonger/hardware store? A Spa Kit for your favourite pooch?! 😅🐕🐩 Our stores are full of seasonal summer items (parasols and window boxes) and "celebration" items are on offer (booze, candies, etc). Make a list/gather things before you head out the door to run Errands. Having a list/plan is a great time, money and stress saver! I handed in/picked up books from our fabulous local Danish library 📚📚📚 and my grocery list was short: milk, eggs, coffee ☕️ 🍳😍 What's on yours? Is it too hot to declutter? No! 😅🔥🌡🔥 Phew, we’re having a heatwave here in Copenhagen! 👋😄🇩🇰 Luckily I live on the coast and can skinnydip in the sea - enjoyed my breakfast (and a chapter of my book) there this morning 🤩☕️🍲🇩🇰🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🚲🚲🚲🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️ But back to this week's Flylady Zone: we’re working on Flylady Zone 5, the living room for our detailed cleaning and decluttering. I found a couple of items to declutter there but it’s so hot today that I went down to our (slightly cooler) basement for a speedy 15 minute declutter! LOL! Founds lots of things to let go of (we are empty nesters) – plenty of donations for my friend Karren who is helping refugees 📦📦📦 Will you join me? I plan our weekly menu, look ahead in the diary to see what's ahead, pay any bills which are due and - most importantly- plan a little fun! We all need something to look forward to! (Birthday gift from my kids) Cheers with a hot cuppa! ☕️😁 Sea 18c/64f, air 24f/75f 🚲l🌊🇩🇰 🍒⭐️🐿🐿 What's your self-care today? Crocheting a Granny square, leafing through a glossy magazine, enjoying a hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows? 👋🤩 Mine was a few minutes talking to our red garden squirrels! 🐿🐿🏡 They were super hungry today (almost knocking on our back door 😅) and they looooove Danish ryebread and sunflower seeds. Hooray, they managed to live another day and avoid the pesky neighbourhood foxes! 🙃 I love our red squirrel family! 😍 Self-care doesn't have to cost money or take a lot of time.
