Good afternoon from sunny Copenhagen! Just a quick check-in today with a few winter-bathing photos from this week…

It was so sunny yesterday that Vibeke, Helene and I decided on a lunchtime picnic dip.

For the first time this year we were able to change outside in the fresh air, which felt wonderful!

Afterwards we sat in the sunshine and enjoyed our lunch.

I had leftovers from dinner (couscous with falafel, veggies and feta cheese) washed down with hot tea, of course.

Vibeke had brought along some Danish marzipan chocolate eggs for us to share, which made the picnic feel very festive. Yum!

Just look at that sun! What a change from the grey weather we’ve been having.

Helene and I also squeezed in another dip earlier this week, just the two of us.

It was a bit colder that day, but it’s always good to get out for some fresh air and a bike ride.

And look! Erantis!

And snowdrops! All around my garden, the first sign of Danish spring!

And last, but definitely not least, a few photos from my weekend dip with my Copenhagen Bluetits Chill Swimmers gang.

It’s always fun to be with these crazy ladies, they are up for any kind of challenge or celebration!

There was still a bit of snow around on Saturday.

Hope you’re having a fabulous day and getting some fresh air. Is it starting to feel like spring where you are, or, if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, are things slowly cooling down?
Hugs

Add Yours →Your previously frozen-over sea looks much more inviting now! 🙂 I have never seen those yellow flowers – they are delightful! 🌼Your breakfast/lunch sounds delicious – would love to see more recipe-making videos. I have incorporated chocolate into my breakfast (in your honour 😉 🇩🇰). xx
Hi Diane,
Your videos show how much you enjoy life! Thank you for sharing.
Yesterday, it was sunny in Boston. I sat in the window to take the sunlight in. Today it is cloudy. We are going to get rain and snow this week.
On March 8, we turn the clocks ahead. I like the longer days. It is not unheard of to have snow as late as April. The good thing is the snow doesn’t last.
I hope you are making progress on selling your house and finding a new place to live.
Take care!
Yes, it may be beyond the start of spring here, although it will be temporary. This is my first day on the back deck in months and it is already room temperature out here! After fighting off a cold for the past 10 days, this feels so refreshing. And no sooner than my chair and tea cup are set up than I see lots of jobs waiting for me in the garden. Motivation often has to be visual for me, so this works well. The blues of your sea bathing outing are beautiful.
I love how you seize and day and squeeeeeze the juice out of every moment. I tried to do the same today: I worked out at the gym, chatted up my pals there, then went to the garden center to buy herbs and vegetables for the garden. The latter is an act of hope on an unusual 70-degree day; I’ll protect these babies in the cold frame if cruel winter returns. You inspire us, Diane! Cheers! 🌱🌿🥬
