Stop donating your clothes! (And what to do instead…)

Good evening from wonderful Copenhagen! I’m back after our Danish winter holiday break (very cold and lots of snow, so we have been dipping in slush ice – posts about that coming up!) and today I’m sharing my talk from the Get Organized conference on two of my favourite subjects! Decluttering (without guilt) and hosting swap parties.

Did you join the Get Organized conference last September? If you missed my talk, or fancy a rewatch, here’s your chance to catch up and maybe get inspired before you donate your clothes! Swap parties are all the rage here in Denmark. What about your corner of the world? Hopefully I am inspiring you to try hosting one of your own!

You can find more wardrobe and swap party motivation in this series…

Have a marvelous Monday!

Hugs

I don’t know enough people for a swap party. Clothes in good condition go to the charity shop, clothes that have done their time (and sewing scraps) go to the Kidney Foundation in Ontario🇨🇦 for fabric recycling. Warm hats, mitts, and scarves are left at the “Warmth Wall” in the city centre for any of the homeless or working poor to help themselves.

I have wanted to join or start one of these for years…the closest I have come is setting up a freebie table in the community laundry room. Anyone in SALT LAKE CITY – let’s get together! Diane, I never tire of these videos and hope you will take us along on your next swap haul! It was a treat to visit with you here today, as always 🩷 🇩🇰 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
