Happy Thursday from Copenhagen! Today I had a refreshing lunchhour sea dip with my Besties. Lots of seaweed along the coast right now…
Vibeke shared a mix of fresh garden pears and almonds. And we all enjoyed a hot cuppa!
Helene enjoyed her hummus ryebread sandwich, yum!
Sun was out but it’s quite chilly (Vibeke wore gloves for the bike ride)! Sea temperature is now at 13c/55f…
On the bike ride home, I stopped at the shops because Thursday = Errand Day (just choose any day that works for you).
Simple Errand Day Tips
Number One: Stick to your shopping list. Before you even step into the supermarket, check what you truly need this week. What needs using up in your fridge and cupboards? Have you planned your meals?
Use what you already have. Seasonal displays and new products are tempting, but please resist those impulse buys. I’m on a mission not to buy any more Halloween stuff! I already have some decorations at home, and the real joy is creating hygge moments, not buying more stuff…
One of the easiest ways to save money on groceries is to eat what’s in season in your corner of the world. We have lots of beautiful, colourful cabbages. What about you?
Fennel (“fennikel“) is also in season here but I’m not a fan of anything that tastes remotely like liquorice, ha ha!
Remember, self-care and home management go hand in hand. Taking time to plan, check your supplies, and resist unnecessary purchases is a gift to yourself — less stress, less clutter and more energy for the things that really matter. Like skinny seadips with friends!
Have a thoroughly thrilling Thursday!
