Ladies Night Out! Plus Easy Living Room Cleaning & Decluttering Ideas (Flylady Zone 5)

I’m a bit tired today after all the excitement of last night’s DHL 5k Relay with my international ladies club here in Copenhagen, so this post is also a little pep talk to keep myself moving today, ha ha! (Lots more fun photos at the end of this post!)

What’s the one spot in your living room that always seems to collect clutter? The coffee table, sideboard? For me, it’s my “pamper basket”, kept beside my chair, filled with bits’ n’ bobs like my book, iPad, headphones, local newspaper, tube of handcream, etc, etc, etc! This week we’re in Flylady Zone 5 – the living room/family room. It’s our chance to give this busy space a wee bit of TLC!

The Flylady system keeps us moving forward without stress: set your timer for 5 or 10 minutes and just do something. Small steps, big difference!

Here are 3 quick wins you can try today in Zone 5, the living room

If you’d like some company while you clean, put on one of my body-doubling YouTube videos – I’ll be your timer and cheerleader. It’s always more fun to work along with a friend!

And if you’re feeling inspired to do a little more in your living room this week, check out my Zone 5 cleaning and decluttering list. But don’t try to do it all – just pick a couple of tasks and celebrate your progress. Rah, rah, rah – you’ve got this!

We’re not looking for perfect homes, just cozy, calm spaces that feel better than yesterday. If you’re new to cleaning and organizing, or are just looking for some simple solutions to take back control of your life, check out my video series!

And don’t forget your self-care today! What’s it going to be…a short walk outside, phoning a friend, drinking your favourite tea or coffee in a special mug? I’ve been in a bit of a funk this week (probably the change of season, autumn is my nemesis!) but I had the best time with my friends last night! Exhausted today so I will be heading to bed early tonight with a book…bliss!

Have a brilliant day and keep it hygge out there!

Hugs
