Happy Saturday from wonderful Copenhagen! A quick check in with some Easter seadipping adventures from this week…
We had an egg-stra special turnout for our Copenhagen Bluetits Easter dip this morning!
Blustery winds, eggs-tremely cold…
It was warmer in the sea than out! Sea temp is holding at 5c/41f.
We warmed up with a lovely buffet breakfast afterwards. Hot Cross buns (from the Wild Kiwi Pie shop here in Copenhagen). And tandsmør: Danish butter spread so thick that you can see your teeth marks in it! (My favourite way to eat butter, the thicker the better!)
Beccy made us some very British Birds’ Nests. Cornflakes mixed with melted chocolate and topped with chocolate eggs.
It’s not something that the Danes make. How about where you live? Very yummy! I used to make the nests when my own two kids were small, they were always a big hit at school.
Keep warm out there! Our thermos flasks and cups were filled with lots of piping hot tea!
Group photo time!
A few days ago the weather was very sunny and springlike!
But still cold, just above freezing early morning.
I caught up with my Danish Bestie, Helene, for a quick seadip…
And a good chat. We had the bathing club to ourselves as many people are away travelling for Easter break.
Have a wonderful day, whatever the weather!
Hugs
