When I was young, I longed for the “high days and holidays”, vacations and travelling. The older I get, the more I appreciate the “everydays”, my simple daily routines and rituals.
Especially time with friends by (and in!) the sea. We’ve had a week of fabulous weather here in wonderful Copenhagen – sunny skies interspersed with heavy rain…
A bike ride and a dip in the sea is the best way to start (or end) the day. And a cup of herbal tea and a quick chat, putting the world to rights, is the icing on the cake!
I’m also using my cold plunge pool in my She Shack (our garden shed…) more right now. I take a dip every morning, sometimes before I make dinner and once again before bed. It’s a great way to cool down fast when the weather is this humid. I dip right before I change into my pyjamas, then get into bed and read my book for 10 minutes before switching off the light. It definitely helps me sleep better!
