You can watch the video by tapping on my Instagram story, use the link in my bio or here! 👇 Ready for a Sunday reset? 🙏😊 Often it's the small things that bring us a sense of calm and joy: simple routines! 💙 👕👖 Outfit of the day: ready for tomorrow! 👏🤩 Heatwave in Copenhagen so keeping it very simple and cool this week 🔥🔥🔥🇩🇰 Necklace is homemade: I used a piece of gold chain and one pink tassel/gold hoop earring (the earrings were too big for my pixie ears) 😁👂👂📿 Do you do plan for fun in your week? 👋🤩 A walk with a friend, exercise class with a colleague, picnic with a neighbour, weekend jaunt with your Other Half? Part of my Flylady weekly planning (Tuesday = Plan and Play) is taking a minute to plan some fun for me/the family - we all need something to look forward to! ✍️🗓🥳 With busy lives, it's all too easy to get caught up with the hustle and bustle... I needed a little boost this week and I get that in spades when I'm together with my fab friend @erikabirch_artanddesign (a.k.a. Erika from America)! She's also a fantastic business sparring partner (we both run small businesses). We caught up over a quick picnic lunch 🥗🥗 and, of course, a couple of dips in the sea (heatwave has returned to Denmark)! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🇩🇰 (Oh, and we're both 55 years old, Copenhagen Bluetits and Dressing Your Truth Type 1s! 👏😁) Plan some fun, keep your friends on your radar! 😃💖 And if you can't meet physically, send a text or email! 🔥👗👔👖 Do you have a capsule wardrobe? I love that my capsule works keeps me covered through all 4 seasons! 🇩🇰❄️🌱🍁 And that many of my wardrobe items are hand-me-downs or several years old. No need to spend, spend, spend! 😍♻️ In today's YouTube video, a round-up of what I’m wearing this week - the heatwave has returned! 🔥 Do you look out your outfit the day before? I usually choose my outfit the day before, when I’m putting away the day’s laundry. It gives me the time to be creative with my outfits (so I wear everything I own instead of always grabbing the same things) and then I can hit the ground running in the morning, no faffing around. When I’m “dressed for the day”, I feel happier and am more productive! Being dressed and ready for action is an important part of the Flylady system.🎥 You can see the video by tapping my Instagram Story, use the link in my Bio, or here! https://youtu.be/lpmi5Lybh7Y 👋😃💖👗 💦🫖 Woo hoo, it's Kitchen Week! 👋😁 Giving a little extra love to the heart of the home...are you joining us? 💖🍳🏡 Set your timer for 5 or 10 minutes and see how much cleaning and decluttering you can do when you focus! ⏰👏😃 I aim to do 15 minutes at the beginning of the week, then any extra minutes are a bonus 💪💪 Tonight, after dinner 🥗🥗🥗 I'll use my 'scrubby' cloth to remove the tanin from our tea mugs and give my sink a deep scrub 🌟 In decluttering news, my son said he'll take our espresso pot (we no longer use it, preferring tea in the afternoon/evening) and one of the chili plants (I have two) for his balcony 🌶🌶🌶 Yay! Plus I'm decluttering a tiny salt & pepper set (used for picnics, in a previous life 😄) is going into my box for our next Swap Party. Go me! 👏😁📦📦 Remember! We are making progress, we don't need to do it ALL this week - my lists are suggestions 🧹💦🧹🧹 Add hygge while you work (listen to music, chat to a friend on the phone, make yourself a nice cuppa tea or coffee) and add some hygge to your kitchen space! No need to buy anything, you can "shop your house": take a vase/candle/cushion/plant etc from another room. For me, these are the little things that bring me joy when I'm tidying up the kitchen after dinner 🪴🕯🇩🇰😊💖 What will YOU clean or declutter today?? Food, trinkets, something else? 👋🤩 Woo hoo, the gang is finally back together! 🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏😍🇩🇰☀️ First time we've ALL been able to meet for our skinnydip seaswim and bike ride since we went off on vacation (at different times) 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🚲🚲🚲 I brought back Baci sweets from Venice 🇮🇹 for Vibeke and Helene 🍬🍬🍬 and Vibeke brought us Genovese pesto and pistachio chocs from Portofino 🇮🇹 Yum! 😋 We always buy each other clutter-free souvenirs...usually always edible! 😄 Was so excited to see the girls that I completely forgot to take a sea photo so here's one from another day 😂🌊🌊🌊 What's for dinner at your house? New recipe, family favourite? 👏😋🍲 🥣🥗Tuesday is Flylady "Plan and Play " (set your timer for 15 minutes and go!) I plan our weekly menu, look ahead in the diary to see what's ahead, pay any bills which are due and plan a little fun! ✍️👩‍🍳🍳 I never menu planned before using the Flylady system (thought I could wing it 😱😂) but it saves so much stress and money (and less food waste 😉). I keep a list of easy dinners/family faves and then add in something new each week. (Check your fridge to see what needs used up!) Last week we had mussels (cooked in the Instant Pot), Pad Thai, panko chicken breasts...
