๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿง–โ€โ™€๏ธ What's your self-care today, Friday? ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿคฉ It can be as simple as enjoying a new drink in your favourite cup, taking a minute to watch the raindrops on the window, taking a different route for your run or dog walk, or listening to a chapter of an audiobook ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ˜ƒ My daily self-care is my bike ride and skinnydip seaswims with my Besties! ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿšฒ๐Ÿšฒ๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธโš“๏ธ๐Ÿคฉ Photos from yesterday morning (sunny) and today (clouds) and our picnic breakfasts ๐Ÿฅฃ๐Ÿฅฃ Today we were joined by a heron ๐Ÿฆฉand cute dogs ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ˜ And, as always, we enjoyed a cuppa hot tea in our bone china teacups (we transport them in tupperware boxes for protection) โ˜•๏ธ ๐Ÿซ– Every day is the special occasion! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ I love the sea in all its shapes and forms...the last photos are from last winter, same spot, when the sea/ocean froze over (you could literally walk on water! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ) and we had to break the ice in order to have our skinnydips! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿช“๐Ÿช“๐Ÿช“โ„๏ธโ„๏ธโ„๏ธ Today was much warmer ๐Ÿ๐Ÿฆฉ Sea 12c/53f, air around the same ๐Ÿšฒl๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ ๐Ÿ›’๐ŸŠ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿฅ•๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐ŸŒท Do you have greengrocers where you live? I love biking past the one in our village, always such a riot of glorious colour! And so many pretty plants for the garden! ๐Ÿšฒ๐Ÿคฉ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿฅ•๐ŸŽ๐Ÿฅฆ๐ŸŠ๐ŸŒท๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒฑโ˜€๏ธ Happy Thursday from - once again - sunny Copenhagen! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ It's "Errand Day" in Flylady Land but it can be any day of the week which suits YOU! ๐Ÿ›’ Make a list/gather things before you head out the door to run Errands. What do you need to pick up from the chemist/pharmacist, buy at the supermarket, hand in to the library or get from the ironmonger/hardware store? Having a list/plan is a great time, money and stress saver! ๐Ÿ›’๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿคฉ We're in Flylady Zone 3 this week (see Monday's YouTube video to "clean with me" ๐ŸŽฅ) and I've checked supplies in cupboards in the main/ground floor bathrooms to see what we need: toilet roll and toothpaste ๐Ÿšฝ๐Ÿงป๐Ÿชฅ๐Ÿ’ฆ Our daughter is visiting us for a few days so extra milk this week but otherwise just the basics (fresh Danish ryebread, "leverpostej", etc) ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿฅ›๐Ÿฅ›๐Ÿฅ›๐Ÿฅช Have a thoroughly thrilling Thursday! What's the best thing about doing your Evening Routine? How long have you had a Routine? โญ๏ธ Years ago, before I started using the Flylady system back in 2006, I would leave the dinner dishes, pots and pans overnight, would stay up way too late zapping around on the TV and leave piles of stuff in the living room before heading to bed. Thinking, oh well, I'll finish that tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜‚ And, of course, woke up grouchy next day, always got off to a bad start and felt overwhelmed with life all the time! ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿคช I LOVE the peace of mind I get now from just spending a few minutes every day following through on the basics. I feel like I'm tying up my day with a bow ๐ŸŽ€ and can really enjoy the rest of my evening! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿคฉ So, once again my Evening Routine is done and we're settling in ๐Ÿ˜Š Kitchen closed, fresh teatowel and handtowel out (NEW teatowel from our visit to Iceland! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธ Teatowels make a great clutter-free souvenir). Fresh lilac blooms from the garden and candles for hygge ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ•ฏ Coffeemaker and breakfast table set up โ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿฅฃ My outfit is ready and hanging on the back of our bedroom door. ๐Ÿ‘•๐Ÿ‘–๐Ÿ“ฟ๐Ÿ’„ Enjoy your evening wherever you are in the galaxy! ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿš€๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿš€ ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿคฉ It's Wednesday and you all know what that means?! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜„ Yay, it's Anti-Procrastination day in Flylady Land (or any day of the week which suits YOU). The day we spend a few minutes doing those little (or big...) things we've bern putting off! โœ…๏ธโœ…๏ธโœ…๏ธ Set your timer for 5 minutes and get started! Need to make a medical appointment, write a card, clean out the cat litter? ๐Ÿˆ I've done a lightning 5 minute declutter in our garden shed (Flylady Zone 3) because our rubbish/recycling will be collected tomorrow! ๐Ÿก Found some old toys, past-their-best Xmas decorations/raffia items and jam jars which I don't need for storing bits n' bobs any more. Woo hoo! ๐Ÿ˜โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ I've also swapped over my gardening tools into my new stool/bag which the kids bought me for Mothers' Day ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿงบ Go me! To celebrate, I cut some large posies of fresh lilacs from the garden โœ‚๏ธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ Beautiful blooms! ๐Ÿฅณ And on Wednesdays I check the back our fridge/wipe down one shelf when I'm cooking dinner (keeps it from getting overwhelming) ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ๐Ÿฅ•๐Ÿฅ•๐Ÿฅ— Okay, your turn! Do you have one?! Is it written down, or do you use an app? Mine is automatic and I change the order daily...but it ALL starts with coffee and it ALL gets done! โ˜•๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿคฉ Sun is shining here in wonderful Copenhagen and laundry is hanging outside in the garden.
