🌸 Is it summer where you are? Happy 1st June = the official start of Danish summer! 👋😃🇩🇰 Fabulous weather right now so once again we ate dinner out on the deck 🏡🍽🍽 And, as you've probably guessed from the jar of Mango Chutney, dinner was Coronation Chicken! 😁👑🐔 Plus some more Danish fruit salad, the one with bits of chocolate in it! 🍏🍓🫐🍫 I have YouTube videos for both recipes... 👩‍🍳 In other news, Thursday is also Errand Day in Flylady Land 🛒🛒📦📚🥕🥕 Enjoy your day! Do you prefer the holidays or the "everydays"? 👋😃🇩🇰 Whilst it was nice to have a loooong weekend (Monday was was a public holiday in Denmark for Pentecost/Whitsun), it was sooooo good to catch up with my Bestie, Vibeke, on Tuesday morning for a dip and bike ride 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🚲🚲 Sea 14c/57f, air the same 🫖☕️☕️ Happy Wednesday, anti-procrastination day! 👋😍 Checking in with some encouragement and motivation for you today... I have a couple of 5 star books that I HAVE to share with you (I love reading for self-care!), plus this week's menu plan, life in Denmark and - of course - housekeeping made simple! Let's chat! Which book have you read recently that's a 5 star?! 📚📚📚🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 😍 Happy Tuesday! We're just getting back to work in Denmark after the long weekend (Pentecost/Whitsun holiday). What can YOU declutter today that you no longer need, use or love? 📚⚽️🏓👗👗🏡🪴 Do the kids have books and games they no longer play with? I am shaking my pom poms for you! 👋😁 Rah, rah, rah! 🎉🎉🎉 🥳🥂🍾 Is May a busy month for you too? Always so many celebrations, public holidays and events! 👏🤩🇩🇰 Last weekend we were at a confirmation ⛪️🐎 and this weekend was my "wee" Danish nephew's 30th birthday party (held at my brother-in-law's home in Holbæk by the fjord)! 🥳🥂🍾🎈🎂🥗🥩🪅⛳️ I tried "ladder golf" for the first time...do you know it? I had never heard of it! ⛳️🏌‍♂️🏌‍♀️🪜 The balls reminded me of "clackers", if you are old enough to remember those! 😂 Anyone from Minnesota? 🇺🇸👋😁 Great start to the Whitsun/Pentecost long weekend! ⚓️⚓️🇩🇰 Saturday morning sunny dip in the harbour with my Copenhagen Bluetits Chill Swimmers peeps! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️ Jumping and diving in... 🧜‍♀️🧜‍♀️🧜‍♀️ We were joined by two lovely visiting Professors from Minnesota (here with students, researching hygge and happiness - yes, we have a ton of that 😂) 🇺🇸☀️☀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️ 🤩 The Flylady habit for May is moving our bodies daily, just a little bit! 😁 On Sunday I did a short, slow run around the village 🇩🇰🏃‍♂️💨 Just keep moving forward! Anyone else heading into a long weekend (Pentecost/Whitsun holiday)? 😃🇩🇰 Happy Friday! Breezy, blustery, bitterly cold then blazing hot for our swim at Vedbæk beach 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️⛱️ Delicious, freshly baked "wienerstang" Danish pastry 🥨🔪 and Erika's delicious Twinings "Focus" hot tea afterwards 🫖🍵🍵🍵And, yes, Jen is rocking my recently decluttered "priest" collar blue/white striped top and "too soft for me" lilac sweater (Jen and Erika are 1/2s and I'm a 1/4 in the Dressing Your Truth system) 👏🤩💜👚 And we are all Bluetits Chill Swimmers...Tits on Tour! Have a wonderful Friday! After-work skinnydip seaswim and bike ride with my Bestie, Helene! 🇩🇰🌊 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🚲🚲 Sea 14c/57f, air the same Who's running errands? I did mine yesterday in the city. The day changes but I ALWAYS have my list ready! Saves time, stress and energy. On my list this week: posting parcels 📦📦 buying paintbrushes from the ironmonger/hardware store brush🖌🖌 pharmacy ("apotek") 💊💊 groceries 🛒🥕🥬🧅 Muji ✒️ and a dress for my birthday next month 👗👏😁
